Senior Project Engineer - Discrete Automation

Role Overview

As a Senior Project Engineer specializing in discrete automation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and commissioning automated material handling systems using Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate conveyor systems into warehouse automation strategies and ensure that Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) operate efficiently for effective inventory control. Additionally, you will perform site visits to diagnose and resolve issues associated with factory automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated conveyor and material handling systems integrating Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to seamlessly implement conveyor solutions within warehouse automation frameworks.
• Maintain optimal operation of ASRS for inventory management efficiency.
• Conduct on-site troubleshooting of factory automation challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess between four to twelve years of experience in industrial automation engineering, particularly focusing on conveyors, warehousing, and material handling solutions.
• Skilled in programming Siemens PLCs using Ladder Logic and Allen Bradley PLCs through Function Block Diagrams.
• Experienced in commissioning industrial machinery and equipment on-site.
