Senior Project Control Manager

About the Role

We seek a highly experienced Senior Project Control Manager with a strong background in Main Contracting and a solid track record in hospitality, mixed-use developments, and large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in project controls, planning, and cost management, and will be adept at leading teams to enhance overall project performance on complex assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Project Controls division for major construction projects.
• Establish and update project baselines encompassing schedules, costs, budgets, and performance indicators.
• Lead processes related to planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Track project progress, detect variances, risks, and opportunities, and take corrective measures accordingly.
• Provide strategic guidance on project controls to Project Managers and senior leadership.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Procurement, Contracts, Commercial, and Construction departments.
• Prepare and deliver detailed project control reports, dashboards, forecasts, and key performance metrics.
• Support claims management, variations, commercial evaluation, and change control processes.
• Champion cost efficiency, schedule enhancements, and superior project outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a high-performing project controls team.
• Implement best practices, processes, systems, and technologies for improved project execution.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years' relevant project management experience, including at least 5 years in supervisory or managerial positions.
• Essential to have robust Main Contractor experience.
• Highly preferred experience in hospitality project environments.
• Exposure to mixed-use developments and complex, large-scale construction projects.
• Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience working in GCC countries is a plus.
• Competency with SAP or ERP systems is mandatory, with preference for SAP functional knowledge.
• Thorough understanding of project controls methodologies, budgeting, cost forecasting, and performance monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
