Role Overview
Version control is the foundation of software development workflows, and you will have the opportunity to define the future of code-change processes. This senior product management position is dedicated to evolving JetBrains' version control system (VCS) features beyond just an IDE component into a standalone ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the long-term product strategy for VCS and code modification workflows integrated across JetBrains IDE offerings.
- Analyze existing developer workflows to uncover gaps and new potential product directions in the version control domain.
- Innovate new approaches such as cross-IDE VCS clients, host-agnostic code review systems, and AI-enhanced review and authorship tracking.
- Engage actively with the developer community and monitor industry trends to prioritize impactful initiatives.
- Coordinate product roadmaps and align priorities across product, engineering, design, marketing, developer advocacy, partner, and customer teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and quality leads to balance user value, technical feasibility, and platform sustainability.
- Represent and advocate for the VCS vision in customer discussions and broader developer ecosystems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven success in leading product vision and strategy for complex developer tools such as source control management (SCM), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), or code collaboration platforms.
- Ability to deconstruct complicated developer workflows and produce clear, actionable product roadmaps.
- Experience uniting internal stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, and developer relations.
- In-depth understanding of version control systems, code-change operations, and software delivery processes.
- Reside within the EU (ideally Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgrade, or remote within the EU) with willingness to travel to JetBrains offices as needed.
- Bonus: Expertise with advanced version control use cases like complex merges, monorepos, and enterprise or self-hosted environments.

Location and Work Arrangement
This role is remote within the European Union with flexibility for occasional travel to JetBrains offices.
