Job description

About the Role

Picnic is a product intelligence workspace designed to solve the critical problem of decision-making in product development by combining customer signals, business context, and engineering realities into one accessible platform. This role is for a Senior Product Manager who will own the product loop end-to-end, working closely with founders and senior product leaders at Series A–C scale-ups. The position is based in London, with hybrid working possibilities, and offers competitive compensation plus meaningful equity backed by VC funding (Antler).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from identifying signals, making decisions, to delivering ship-ready results.
  • Collaborate directly with company founders and design partners such as Heads of Product and Chief Product Officers at growing startups.
  • Lead discovery processes through regular engagement with product leaders to gather insights that shape the product roadmap.
  • Make well-evidenced product decisions supported by data and user feedback, practicing a culture of thorough evidence-based prioritization.
  • Contribute to the broader product ethos, including content creation and community engagement, influencing the overall product philosophy.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS startup or scale-up environment.
  • Proven ownership of a product area from discovery through delivery and subsequent validation.
  • Experienced in running discovery cycles involving customer interviews, data synthesis, and qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive decisions.
  • Strong technical understanding enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams regarding feasibility, scope, and technical debt.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot, and their impact on product feasibility.
  • Adept at managing and aligning multiple stakeholders, including executives, sales teams, and engineering departments, even amid disagreement.
  • Deep familiarity with using AI as a tool in product management, with a clear viewpoint on its benefits and potential pitfalls.
  • Commitment to rigorously evidence-based decision making, treating data as non-negotiable despite potential pressure or haste.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage, rapidly evolving environment involving weekly shipping, frequent user feedback, and public iterative development.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder, or having built your own products.
  • Background in product tooling companies.
  • Public author or commentator on product management practices.
