About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of digital, data, and AI-driven products that translate WGSN's expert insights and proprietary data into critical tools for our clients. This position requires working from our London office.

Company Overview

At WGSN, we unite trend forecasters, designers, content creators, data analysts, and consultants focused on consumer and design trends to shape the future. Our insights power product design across sectors such as fashion, beauty, consumer tech, and lifestyle, helping clients craft innovative solutions for tomorrow.

Role Summary

As Senior Product Manager, you will oversee a key product segment throughout its lifecycle: strategy, discovery, delivery, launch, and optimization. Your mandate is to pinpoint impactful client challenges, establish clear outcomes, and coordinate cross-functional teams including content, data, technology, design, commerce, and client success to drive measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a high-impact product area aligned with company goals.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on client evidence, data, commercial value, strategic alignment, and delivery effort.
  • Define and monitor success metrics, managing product performance post-launch actively.
  • Deeply understand client workflows, needs, and user jobs through interviews, prototyping, usage analysis, and partnership with sales and client teams.
  • Represent client viewpoints while balancing user value, commercial impact, strategic benefits, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop intuitive, trustworthy product experiences leveraging complex content and data to assist client decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, design, and subject experts to define product requirements, data quality standards, and user experience.
  • Evaluate opportunities for AI, natural language interfaces, automation, APIs, and integrations to enhance client value or opt for simpler solutions when apt.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through discovery, definition, delivery, launch, and iterative improvement phases.
  • Communicate product narratives clearly, make timely decisions, and ensure understanding of problems, goals, and trade-offs.
  • Ensure quality through acceptance criteria, data validation, instrumentation, feedback, and monitoring after launch.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and client success on positioning, packaging, launches, enablement, and adoption drives.
  • Empower commercial teams to articulate client problems, unique value, and product evidence.
  • Track and analyze adoption, engagement, satisfaction, retention, and financial outcomes to guide future investments.
  • Build consensus among senior leaders with diverse perspectives, clearly communicating evidence, risks, and rationales.
  • Enhance product practices by coaching, providing constructive feedback, and refining team workflows.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated product management success owning significant product areas end-to-end.
  • Proven track record in building effective B2B and B2C digital products, especially subscription, data, SaaS, insights, or workflow platforms.
  • Skilled in solving complex client issues and translating ambiguity to clear strategy, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
  • Strong discovery capabilities synthesizing qualitative insights, behavioral data, and commercial information.
  • Sound analytical judgment including metric definition, product performance interpretation, and making data-driven trade-offs.
  • Ability to collaborate credibly with engineering, data, and design teams, particularly on tech- or data-intensive products.
  • Commercial acumen related to differentiation, adoption, retention, expansion, and revenue impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred but Not Required

  • Experience with AI-driven products, search, recommendations, natural-language UIs, or generative AI.
  • Familiarity with structured data products, APIs, data modeling, analytics platforms, or workflow integration.
  • Background in fashion, beauty, retail, consumer intelligence, forecasting, research, or expert content fields.

Benefits

  • Annual leave of 25 days with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days.
  • Pension scheme, life assurance, income protection, and a flexible benefits platform including private medical and dental insurance.
  • Employee assistance programs, season ticket loans, and cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Opportunities for volunteering and charitable giving.
  • Extensive learning and development resources.
