Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager will lead the development of products impacting millions of individuals such as educators, students, journalists, and writers, focusing on preserving content authenticity. This role operates at the crossroads of product strategy, machine learning research, and design—translating AI model capabilities and limitations into trusted user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full discovery process by identifying and validating user needs using research, data analysis, and direct engagement with various user personas.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and machine learning teams to define product requirements and metrics to measure success.
- Lead product execution from initial concept through launch, continuously refining the experience by analyzing user feedback and data.
- Establish and standardize the product development process for GPTZero, setting a benchmark for product delivery.
- Design and implement a rigorous experimentation framework involving hypothesis creation, metric definition, test deployment, and iterative improvements.
- Oversee daily development activities to ensure progress aligns with milestones, coordinating efforts between engineering and design teams.
Candidate Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years managing end-to-end ownership of B2C or prosumer products with strong product decision-making skills.
- Experience creating structural processes that significantly enhance outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of AI-based products, understanding model limitations, trade-offs, and their effect on user trust.
- Collaborative team player with effective communication across designers, engineers, and researchers to achieve alignment and execution goals.
- High sense of ownership, proactive approach to action and learning, comfortable iterating based on insights.
- Demonstrated independence in task management with ability to prioritize across multiple projects efficiently, thriving in fast-paced, goal-oriented environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an early or inaugural product manager at a startup environment.
- Direct experience working closely with machine learning or research teams.

- Competitive salary range of $170,000 to $250,000 USD depending on location and experience.
