Role Overview

As the steward of Developer Experience, you will lead strategy for key product differentiators like Autopilot, Multidev, and Upstreams, while guiding expansion into high-impact domains such as public APIs, MCP integrations, and agentic infrastructure. This leadership role requires co-developing strategy instead of merely executing existing plans, focusing on empowering developers and engineering teams to build, test, collaborate, and deploy efficiently with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft a unified strategy that enhances developer productivity across multiple products.
• Develop roadmaps for emerging technologies including public APIs, MCPs, and agentic systems.
• Deeply understand developer workflows covering local development, collaboration, testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
• Conduct research and competitive analysis to pinpoint strategic opportunities throughout the platform.
• Define and track success metrics linking developer velocity and satisfaction with business goals.
• Effectively communicate strategic direction and progress to engineering, product, and executive teams.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years managing developer-facing products or platforms.
• Proven expertise in managing complex, varied product portfolios and integrating them into coherent strategies.
• Strong knowledge of developer workflows including Git, CI/CD, testing, collaboration, deployment, and infrastructure.
• Experience delivering integrations or platform APIs and familiarity with emerging tech such as AI agents, MCPs, and agentic systems.
• Successful track record in taking products from concept through launch and ongoing enhancements.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and navigate complex organizational structures.
• Preferred candidates have experience working at developer platform companies and hands-on familiarity with WordPress, Drupal, or modern web frameworks.

• Competitive salary range: 105600 to 132000 CAD annually, based on role, level, and location.
