Role Overview

We are seeking Senior software engineers with a strong product orientation and independence to join our product teams and help shape Beam’s future. What You Will Do

• Develop and enhance Beam's technology stack, including infrastructure, backend, and frontend components, valuing versatility across areas.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Go-To-Market teams to identify and implement new product features.
• Create internal tools to boost team efficiency and maximize impact.
• Leverage cutting-edge generative AI tools to empower users to focus on critical needs.
• Deeply explore and optimize large language model (LLM) capabilities within Beam’s systems.

Who We Are Looking For

• Broad experience across infrastructure, backend, and frontend technology stacks.
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL on Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript on the client side, utilizing the shadcn design system.
• Experience working with OpenAI and Claude for large language model integration.
• Background in customer-focused, fast-paced startup environments producing measurable outcomes.
• Keen interest in AI products and improving workflows through AI enhancements.
• Product mindset with commitment to customer success and data-driven decision making.
• Preference for pragmatic technology choices suited to specific tasks.
• Enjoy collaboration within cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UX designers, and Data specialists.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges from £100,000 to £135,000 depending on experience and performance during interviews, along with equity and excellent benefits.

Recruitment Process

• Introductory 30-minute conversation with our Talent team.
• 30-minute interview with the VP of Engineering.
• One-hour technical test with two Senior Engineers.
• One-hour systems design interview with two Senior Engineers.
• Optional 30-minute product and culture discussion with a founder.
