Senior Product Designer

Role Details

As the second full-time designer at Timescapes, you will spearhead significant UX design and usability initiatives. Your responsibilities span maintaining and improving our core product and conceiving new product ideas. Critical aspects include:

• Handling the entire design process using diverse research and design strategies to understand user challenges, prototype solutions, and evaluate effectiveness throughout the product lifecycle.
• Tackling complex AI-driven design challenges, developing innovative capabilities unique in the market, and creatively managing constraints posed by machine learning and AI models.
• Integrating AI tools into your design workflow and promoting AI adoption throughout the Product & Engineering teams.
• Collaborating closely with customers, product managers, and engineers from concept through launch, actively seeking and applying design feedback.
• Planning for scalability and future product pathways while ensuring simplicity and elegance by refining and simplifying design systems as needed.
• Engaging directly with customers through observations, usability testing, focus groups, and solution evaluations to deeply understand their needs.

Additional advantageous experiences include prior startup or scale-up work involving managing competing demands and creating scalable processes, as well as being an early team member helping to establish culture and teamwork in new locations.
