Designers collaborate closely with Product Directors, Engineers, and Business Analysts as well as customers to craft elegant, practical solutions to complex challenges cinema operators face. The design function plays a vital role in the software development lifecycle and significantly influences the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and design teams to strategize, design, and deliver best-in-class guest-facing products by deeply understanding Vista's business, client requirements, and user needs.
• Communicate design proposals effectively to stakeholders, executives, and external partners, managing expectations and negotiating compromises.
• Establish clear success criteria and performance metrics for design initiatives such as usability scores and adoption rates.
• Ensure design choices align with business objectives, user demands, and current market trends.
• Promote user-centered design principles across all teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate design risks proactively.
• Make informed design decisions aligned with Vista's OKRs and competitive landscape insights.
• Regularly analyze product usage data and insights to improve design outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end design processes including research, ideation, workshops, interaction design, and visual design.
• Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows to clearly convey design intentions.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG) and apply inclusive design principles.
• Partner with engineering teams to balance technical feasibility with design standards.
• Support quality assurance testing from a UX perspective.
• Contribute to and refine research strategies and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Maintain and evolve design systems for cohesive and scalable design outputs.
• Produce clear, accurate, and developer-ready design documentation and assets.
• Foster a culture of accountability that values early and inexpensive failure and shares outcomes openly.
• Serve as a champion for design quality and collaboration across the entire company, including engineering and other business units.
• Encourage and motivate team members to consistently achieve high standards and enhance productivity through coaching and mentorship.
• Introduce innovative tools and methodologies to junior designers.
• Engage cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Knowledge Services, and Engineering early in projects.
• Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Facilitate workshops, usability testing, and user research to inform design decision-making.
• Present design ideas and solutions confidently to internal and external audiences.
• Identify innovation opportunities that improve user experience and business results.
• Proactively recognize design risks and communicate issues promptly.
• Manage competing priorities and resolve design challenges in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated extensive experience delivering UX/UI solutions.
• A strong portfolio that highlights strategic, user-driven product design work.
• Thorough knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or comparable professional experience.
• Proven ability to influence product strategy and drive business outcomes through design.
• Capability to independently manage the design process including requirements definition, project scoping, and task prioritization.
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong grasp of visual design principles including hierarchy, typography, iconography, and layout with acute attention to detail down to the pixel level.
• Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, and Adobe XD; familiarity with collaboration platforms like Miro and TFS.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly express complex design concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
