The Role Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer based in Melbourne to join our newly established internal Product Design team. This role goes beyond aesthetic refinement; it involves deeply understanding customer challenges, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams, and converting complex problems into meaningful, user-centered experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive user discovery and research initiatives primarily focused on financial advisers.
• Contribute strategically by shaping product direction rather than only responding to set requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers as an integral part of a product trio.
• Leverage evidence, experimentation, and customer insights to guide and influence decision-making.
• Mentor and elevate the skills of fellow designers through constructive feedback and teamwork.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses at least five years of experience designing digital products.
• Comfortable transitioning from strategic research phases to detailed interaction design.
• Skilled in facilitating discussions, challenging assumptions, and persuading stakeholders towards effective solutions.
• Highly committed to achieving positive customer outcomes and measurable impacts.
• Adaptable to ambiguity, capable of guiding teams to clarity.
