Overview
The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and category management across the organization, with a dedicated focus on IT procurement encompassing hardware, software, IT services, and related resources. This role emphasizes optimizing spend, enhancing supplier strategies, analyzing market trends, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving procurement transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion group-wide strategic sourcing and procurement optimization projects.
- Oversee IT procurement including hardware, software licensing, services, and technology personnel sourcing.
- Formulate category and sourcing strategies that align with the organization's broader business goals.
- Perform market research, supplier assessments, benchmarking, and cost evaluations.
- Lead contract negotiations, manage high-value agreements, and cultivate supplier partnerships.
- Spot opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, demand management, and added value.
- Drive digitization, data analytics, governance, and process improvements within procurement functions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor their performance.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, Strategy, Investment divisions, and business units to integrate procurement within business planning.
- Guide, mentor, and grow procurement teams ensuring alignment with corporate procurement objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
- 10 to 15+ years of advancing procurement experience, especially in strategic sourcing, category management, and leadership roles.
- Extensive background in IT procurement including hardware, licensing, infrastructure, services, and technology sourcing.
- Demonstrated experience navigating procurement complexities within large, multifaceted organizations.
- Proficient in supplier management, commercial negotiations, contract oversight, and cost control.
- Skilled in spend analytics, procurement modernization, digital tools, and performance tracking.
- Handled management of high-value contracts and complex sourcing engagements.
- Experience collaborating with high-level stakeholders across Finance, IT, Strategy, Investment, and Business Units.
- Preferred professional certifications include CIPS, MCIPS, CPSM, or equivalents.
