- Continuously supervise portfolio outcomes, diagnosing factors behind any divergence from expected profit goals.
- Develop evidence-based adjustment suggestions for tariffs to bolster sales, profit margins, and loss ratios.
- Perform analyses involving rate adequacy, competitor pricing comparisons, and client price sensitivity to inform pricing strategies.
- Assist with tariff authorizations, rate filings, and regulatory documentation procedures as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Actuarial, Underwriting, Product, Claims, and Data departments on pricing projects and thorough portfolio examinations.
- Design and maintain pricing dashboards and management reports, sharing insights with pertinent stakeholders.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of actuarial pricing theories, including frequency-severity models, GLMs, analysis of loss and combined ratios.
- Deep insight into insurance economics including claim experience, client retention, profitability trends, and underwriting cycles.
- Proven ability to build, test, and interpret rating models and evaluate rate impacts.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel abilities for data retrieval, pricing computations, scenario testing, and portfolio analytics.
- Capability to simplify and communicate complex analytical results into commercial strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- English proficiency at level B2 or above.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress on actuarial certifications such as IFoA or SOA.
- Experience with actuarial and statistical software tools like R, Python, Emblem, or Radar.
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms, for example Tableau or Looker Studio.
- Knowledge about insurance pricing regulation and experience in multiple retail insurance lines including Motor, Travel, and Home.

- A long-term contract with QIC subject to a 3-month probationary period.
- Opportunity to work remotely from over 25 countries as part of a diverse digital workforce.
