Senior Platform Engineer - Testing Platform

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to spearhead the development of advanced testing platform services that help organizations proactively defend against cyber threats. This role involves creating a flexible grid of both physical and virtual devices, enabling developers and testers with scalable, on-demand access to a diverse set of devices and environments for comprehensive testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a resilient on-premise testing platform featuring device management, automated test execution, and result analysis capabilities.
• Guide and mentor junior engineering staff to foster their professional growth and technical skills.
• Engage actively in technical deliberations and contribute to decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.
• Validate and monitor the testing platform's performance and reliability, including virtualization infrastructure such as VMWare and Red Hat, identifying areas for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network Engineering and Security, for deployment and integration of platform services.
• Create and update comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user guides.
• Manage the upkeep and performance optimization of server hardware to ensure consistent reliability and availability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or professional certification in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with a minimum of three years relevant experience.
• Hands-on expertise in virtualization platforms, specifically VMWare and Red Hat including deployment, management, and optimization.
• Proficient scripting skills in Python and familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, performance, and usability testing methodologies with a solid grasp of testing concepts and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities capable of addressing complex challenges with innovative solutions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
