Senior Planning Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our ePMO team, specializing in project planning and controls for large scale construction and infrastructure initiatives. This position entails developing, tracking, and managing project schedules that comply with contractual obligations, strategic execution plans, and organizational goals. The role also involves mentoring junior planners and providing reliable reporting and forecasting to management.

Responsibilities

• Create baseline schedules using Primavera P6 and secure approvals from clients.
• Continuously track project progress, identify any schedule delays, and recommend corrective recovery strategies.
• Analyze delays' impacts and assist with Extensions of Time (EOT) claims.
• Collaborate closely with project, procurement, and technical teams to facilitate seamless project delivery.
• Develop and deliver dashboards and reports utilizing Excel and Power BI tools.
• Monitor workforce, equipment usage, and productivity relative to established baselines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in planning for construction or infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in using Primavera P6, with solid understanding of project control methodologies including Earned Value Management (EVM) and critical path analysis.
• Possess PMP certification; having a Scheduling Professional (SP) certification is advantageous.
• Proficient with advanced Excel functions and Power BI for reporting purposes.
• Experience dealing with contracting standards and practices within the GCC region is preferred.
