Team and Role Overview
The Project Delivery Group (PDG) is a vibrant team focused on world-class project execution across global markets, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies, governance, and systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to lead and oversee planning and scheduling functions across complex, large-scale EPCM and EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive Planning & Scheduling function, encompassing execution planning, schedule updates, managing changes, performance measurement, forecasting, and reporting.
- Direct, mentor, and manage the Planning team to build necessary technical capabilities and foster collaboration supporting successful project outcomes.
- Establish and uphold planning baselines for project management, controlling changes, and evaluating performance metrics.
- Conduct schedule control activities such as critical path analysis, progress measurements using planned value and earned value techniques, schedule variance and performance indices, and perform schedule risk assessments, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Regularly update project schedules to mirror real progress and prepare detailed management reports.
- Integrate inputs from clients, contractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to monitor progress, detect trends and risks, and assess project performance to inform decision-making.
- Coordinate schedule risk management proactively and suggest actions to mitigate identified schedule threats.
- Deliver accurate, timely schedule reports to enable control over project activities and inform all stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong teamwork orientation.
- Holds a tertiary degree in engineering, project management, or construction disciplines.
- Possesses over 15 years of relevant experience in execution project settings with deep knowledge in execution planning, quantitative schedule risk analysis, schedule maintenance, change management, progress tracking, evaluation, forecasting, and reporting.
- At least 5 years of hands-on on-site construction experience within EPCM or EPC project environments.
- Proficient in preparing logic diagrams, critical path networks, bar charts, specifically for detailed construction scheduling.
- Experienced in managing high-value, multi-disciplinary EPCM projects from start to finish.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office and project controls software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of effectively conveying technical information to diverse project stakeholders.
- Superior organizational skills including multitasking, prioritization, and the ability to direct and guide others to deliver quality outputs.
