Role Summary

The Senior Physiotherapist position is a full-time, on-site role in Singapore responsible for delivering advanced physiotherapy services to both residents and Day Activity Centre clients. This includes assessing functional abilities, tailoring and implementing personalized rehabilitation programs, and providing evidence-based treatments for individuals with complex physical and neurological conditions. The role also entails mentoring junior therapists and support staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams to enhance patient outcomes, and contributing to clinical discussions and care planning.

Key Duties

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and interventions for residents and day clients.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on functional status and clinical evidence.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior therapists and therapy assistants.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care results.
• Manage clinical documentation accurately and timely.
• Educate residents, their families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home exercise programs.
• Support quality improvement, service enhancements, and community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a recognized Physiotherapy degree and current registration or eligibility for practice in Singapore.
• Between 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, ideally within neurology, geriatric rehabilitation, or disability care, demonstrating the ability to manage complex patient cases.
• Strong clinical assessment and reasoning capabilities, including formulation of customized treatment plans using evidence-based methods.
• Proven ability to mentor and supervise junior therapy staff to enhance clinical practice and professional growth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to foster collaboration and respect among multidisciplinary teams, residents, families, and volunteers.
• Organizational and time management proficiency to handle patient caseloads, documentation, and reporting efficiently while maintaining high standards of care and safety.
• Commitment to delivering person-centered care with empathy and cultural sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Willingness to engage in continuous quality improvement, service development, and training activities; experience in community or long-term care settings is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of relevant IT platforms for clinical documentation and reporting; familiarity with assistive technologies and mobility aids is advantageous.
