Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer with extensive experience in block and sub-system level physical design implementation. The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of the latest semiconductor process nodes and a comprehensive grasp of the entire physical design flow including synthesis, floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and sign-off procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement physical design at block and sub-system levels with hands-on expertise.
- Manage and execute design activities utilizing advanced semiconductor process technologies.
- Carry out timing closure, low-power design methodologies, and manage designs across multiple voltage domains.
- Conduct sign-off closure processes, including timing analysis, power integrity verification, and physical verification checks.
- Provide leadership by mentoring junior engineers and offering technical guidance on complex design challenges.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Between 5 to 10+ years of practical experience in physical design engineering roles.
- Proficiency working with the latest semiconductor manufacturing process nodes.
- Strong knowledge of the complete physical design flow: synthesis, floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and sign-off closure.
- Expertise in timing closure techniques, low-power design strategies, and handling multi-voltage domain integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform timing, power integrity, and physical verification sign-offs successfully.
- Experience in leading teams, mentoring peers, and resolving advanced technical challenges.
