About the Role
We seek a seasoned professional with a robust operational skill set and a persistent drive for continuous enhancement. The ideal candidate will be proactive in execution, questioning norms, and striving to improve how things are done beyond the traditional methods.
Taking full ownership, this role involves overseeing a broad spectrum of People operations tasks throughout the employee lifecycle while pushing forward smarter, more effective processes to elevate both employee satisfaction and the People team's operational efficiency.
Working alongside the wider Hamilton Locke People team, you will handle vital operational responsibilities, bringing mature judgment and pragmatic problem-solving to the table. Challenging existing procedures, minimizing administrative overhead, and fostering persistent enhancements in People services delivery are key aspects of your contribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute administrative duties across employee lifecycle stages, including onboarding, offboarding, and employment adjustments.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to employees and managers, offering prompt and practical solutions to People-related inquiries.
- Manage People Operations projects with accuracy, effectiveness, and minimal oversight.
- Analyze current workflows to find and apply opportunities for simplification, streamlining, and optimization.
- Leverage technology and artificial intelligence to reduce manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency when suitable.
- Support enhancements in People systems, documentation, templates, and reporting processes.
- Plan and implement People-related initiatives and projects from inception to completion.
- Maintain precise employee data and ensure integrity across HR systems.
- Develop reports and perform data analysis to uncover trends, potential risks, and improvement possibilities.
- Coordinate with the People team to alleviate operational burdens and refine service delivery.
- Contribute innovative ideas, sound decision-making, and practical solutions to daily challenges.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will thrive at the core of a dynamic People team, demonstrating organizational prowess, analytical thinking, and a proactive work ethic. You should possess the maturity to function independently and exhibit confidence in managing responsibilities.
Prior experience in HR administration, People Operations, or an advisory capacity is expected, along with a genuine enthusiasm for process improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- At least three years of relevant experience in HR administration, People Operations, or HR advisory roles.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Sound judgment with confidence in decision-making within delegated authority.
- Highly proactive and takes initiative without needing direction.
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and simplifying processes.
- Ability to identify problems, craft solutions, and see them through to execution.
- Exceptional organizational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities and skill in building trusted relationships throughout the organization.
- Customer-centric attitude with a dedication to delivering an outstanding employee experience.
- Comfortable using HR systems and technology, with an interest in AI and automation enhancements.
- Aptitude to juggle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-growing, evolving setting.
- Collaborative yet autonomous work style with sound professional judgment.
- Experience with HRIS, reporting tools, or process automation technologies is a plus.
