Role Overview

A respected Professional Services Firm operating out of Kilkenny seeks a seasoned Senior Payroll Manager to direct their payroll services team. This role involves guiding a team of Payroll Managers and Specialists while managing outsourced payroll operations across a varied client portfolio.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and professional development to two Payroll Managers and their supporting Payroll Specialists.
• Ensure the timely and precise execution of payroll operations for multiple clients.
• Handle a comprehensive client portfolio and serve as a senior point of contact.
• Maintain adherence to payroll laws, service level agreements, and statutory obligations.
• Steer payroll-related projects, implement system upgrades, and drive process enhancements.
• Establish and nurture strong connections with both clients and internal teams.
• Track key performance indicators and promote ongoing improvements within the payroll function.
• Contribute to budgeting, resource allocation, and business growth activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience spanning 8 to 10 years in payroll with at least 3 to 5 years in senior management capacities.
• Demonstrated background handling outsourced payroll services across multiple clients.
• Mandatory IPASS certification.
• Possession of a tertiary qualification in Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, or related areas.
• In-depth understanding of payroll compliance and legislation.
• Proven aptitude for managing teams and managers.
• Strong capabilities in client interaction, stakeholder management, and leading projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of payroll software, automation solutions, or process improvements is beneficial.
