Overview
A partner company is seeking a Senior Partnerships Manager based in Ireland for a fully remote position. This role entails shaping and expanding a global referral partner network within the human resources technology and payroll sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global referral partner strategy and oversee the growth and performance of a diverse portfolio of high-impact partners.
- Identify, approach, and negotiate referral partnerships across multiple ecosystems including accounting, tax, legal, venture capital, private equity, HR, payroll, finance, recruiting, brokerage, and advisory services.
- Create partner segmentation, design incentive plans, implement enablement approaches, and develop engagement models that align with company objectives.
- Act as the primary internal liaison for strategic partners throughout acquisition, activation, expansion, and ongoing retention stages.
- Design and implement scalable referral programs that yield consistent, high-quality sales pipeline, including models such as revenue sharing, co-selling, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, market trends, client requirements, and relevant referral opportunities for different partner types.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure partners are empowered and operate successfully.
- Develop marketing initiatives including referral campaigns, co-branded materials, and landing pages to boost partner engagement and conversion rates.
- Foster a partner community for sharing best practices, success stories, insights, and performance data.
- Create reporting and analytics tools to track referral activity, pipeline impact, revenue generation, and ROI.
- Continuously refine partnership programs based on performance data, partner feedback, customer needs, and market changes.
- Represent the partnership function at industry events and forums, including occasional travel to meet strategic partners in person.
- Seek opportunities to automate partnership processes using AI tools and technologies.
- Lead the partnerships team by balancing strategic guidance with hands-on management.
Candidate Requirements
- Substantial experience in partnership management, preferably within HR technology, payroll, or relevant B2B technology sectors.
- Track record of successfully establishing and growing referral or channel partnerships that contribute measurable pipeline and revenue.
- Solid commercial acumen to prioritize initiatives, evaluate opportunities, and translate strategy into executable plans.
- Experience managing the full partnership lifecycle including prospecting, negotiation, onboarding, activation, enablement, growth, and retention phases.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with comfort interacting with senior decision-makers internally and externally.
- Demonstrated capability for self-directed results and positively influencing products, processes, or business outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication aptitude with strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Competence in leveraging AI tools (such as Claude Code) to automate workflows and develop productivity-enhancing applications or tools.
- Data-oriented mindset with experience in analyzing performance metrics to optimize partner programs and commercial results.
- Ability to perform effectively in an autonomous, fast-moving environment, making timely and sound decisions independently.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience working remotely or in distributed teams is advantageous.
- An entrepreneurial, curious, and proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Compensation and Benefits
