About the Role and Employer
Join the occupational therapy team at Northern Beaches Hospital within Northern Sydney Local Health District, providing expert clinical leadership and high-quality, person-centred care in Stroke and Neurology services. This permanent full-time position offers meaningful and rewarding clinical work in a supportive, collaborative environment dedicated to staff development and innovation in health care.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and govern clinical occupational therapy practices within the Stroke and Neurology units.
- Optimize care delivery and spearhead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Supervise, mentor, and train occupational therapy staff and students, including Level 1 and 2 Allied Health Professionals and Allied Health Assistants.
Candidate Requirements
- Current full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and substantial clinical experience at Occupational Therapist Level 2.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with a range of healthcare professionals and external service providers.
- Demonstrated computer competency and familiarity with health information systems.
- Proven experience in initiating and leading quality improvement projects and clinical teaching/supervision.
