Senior Network Security Engineer

About the Role

Saudi German Health is seeking a skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to enhance the protection of our enterprise network, endpoints, remote access systems, and applications. This role requires in-depth practical expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE/NAC, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and configure Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, and access permissions.
• Administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Network Access Control, focusing on authentication processes, device profiling, compliance posture, and 802.1X enforcement.
• Deploy and manage secure remote connectivity using Prisma and Citrix ZTNA platforms.
• Manage WAF configurations alongside relevant security policy enforcement.
• Operate EDR systems to detect threats, prevent malware, and isolate security incidents.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents promptly, and coordinate remediation work.
• Implement endpoint security hardening measures and enforce policies across Windows, Linux, and macOS devices.
• Work collaboratively with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Threat Intelligence, Network, and Infrastructure teams to address security incidents and enhance defenses.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards such as NCA regulations, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.

Candidate Requirements

• Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
• Possess at least 10 years of experience working in IT Security roles.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewall technologies and Cisco ISE solutions.
• Familiarity with EDR, WAF, NAC, ZTNA technologies, and endpoint security/hardening practices.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise network security principles and threat detection methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting ability, communication skills, and aptitude for cross-team collaboration.
• Preferred to hold certifications such as CCNP Security, Microsoft Security credentials, or GIAC certifications relevant to the role.
