Role Overview

The Senior Metallizer Operator position in Gurugram is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing the metallizing equipment used in producing specialty optical films. Key duties involve setting up and calibrating metallizing machines, monitoring critical process variables, and ensuring coating quality, adhesion, and uniformity meet strict specifications. The operator will lead troubleshooting, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to enhance throughput and reduce downtime.

Regular responsibilities include reviewing production plans, overseeing operator teams, maintaining precise process and batch documentation, and guaranteeing compliance with safety and environmental standards. Additionally, this role supports continuous improvements by recommending process optimizations, aiding in trials, and driving best practices within metallizing operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of metallizing processes, vacuum coating equipment, and production machinery operation.
• Experience working in high-precision manufacturing environments, preferably related to film production, packaging, optical technologies, or materials processing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process instructions, and quality standards accurately.
• Skilled in monitoring process parameters, detecting variations, and performing methodical troubleshooting procedures.
• Familiarity with routine mechanical maintenance, equipment inspection, and safe handling of machinery.
• Understanding of quality assurance techniques including visual inspections, thickness measurements, and assessing surface defects.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with environmental and regulatory policies.
• Effective communication and leadership capabilities to mentor and guide junior operators.
• High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and dependability in following standardized work processes.
• Willingness to work shifts and support extended hours during high production demands.
• Previous experience in a senior or lead metallizing operator capacity is highly advantageous.
• Academic qualification such as a diploma or degree in engineering.
