Role Overview

The Senior Merchandiser, based onsite in Moradabad, is accountable for overseeing the entire merchandising cycle. Core duties include product selection, collaborating on product development, providing pricing insights, and diligently following up on orders with buyers and suppliers. Regular client interaction is essential, along with sample preparation and monitoring production schedules to meet quality benchmarks and ensure timely delivery.

This role also involves evaluating sales trends, assisting marketing efforts within retail settings, and working closely with internal teams to enhance product displays and deepen the customer experience. The senior merchandiser actively engages in daily operations and plays a key role in resolving challenges related to orders, inventory, and customer demands.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in clear verbal and written exchanges involving clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Customer service aptitude, focusing on responsiveness, nurturing client relationships, and professionally addressing buyer feedback.
• Expertise in sales and retail, including understanding purchasing behaviors, merchandising tactics, and supporting revenue objectives.
• Marketing capabilities relevant to product positioning, visual merchandising, and aiding promotional campaigns.
• Experience in merchandising, export/import, or retail operations, ideally within a related product sector.
• Proven ability to handle multiple orders and schedules effectively, exhibiting solid organizational and time management competencies.
• Familiarity with basic office software and tools essential for order monitoring, reporting, and communication.
• Preferably holds a graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or a similar discipline, coupled with experience in a senior or leadership merchandising capacity.
