Role Overview

The Senior Manager of International Quality Control will spearhead the implementation of quality assurance standards across QNB’s international branches, ensuring compliance and adherence to strategic project plans. Responsibilities include overseeing process and system quality certifications, conducting process re-engineering studies, managing test plans, and enforcing change control management for international projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Group operation vision by enforcing quality assurance standards and controlling activities across international branches.
  • Monitor ongoing international projects for compliance with strategic plans and approve enhancements to processes and system quality certifications.
  • Conduct developmental and re-engineering analyses on processes, products, or services for international branches.
  • Manage adherence to test plan and script standards during international branch implementations.
  • Ensure proper change control procedures are followed for any project-related changes in the international branches.
  • Support EVP Group International Operations Affairs in documenting and monitoring KPIs to evaluate departmental performance.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and ensure departmental compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee re-engineering processes to improve workflows, introducing cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement KPIs and best practices relevant to the Senior Manager's role.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, coordinating with user departments on resources, priorities, timelines, and costs.
  • Approve, evaluate, describe, test, authorize, and benchmark processes/systems through formal systematic procedures before and after operation.
  • Evaluate international operating processes, banking systems, and products against standards and mandatory country regulations.
  • Engage with international branches and Operations PMO throughout project life cycles to ensure defect-free implementation and requirements conformance.
  • Provide guidance on User Acceptance Testing, Operational Readiness Testing, and Post Live Verification.
  • Standardize project approaches, validate deliverables, and perform quality assurance on new international branch implementations.
  • Collaborate with business partners and international operations to assess impacts of new developments.
  • Liaise closely with headquarters departments, Relationship Managers, Operations PMO, and senior stakeholders.
  • Create and update procedures, training materials, and user guides.
  • Coordinate with service desks to facilitate knowledge transfer for post-implementation support.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external audit queries and compliance function requests.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding bank products and work towards effective solutions.
  • Maintain service level agreements with internal units to enhance turnaround times.
  • Build strong relationships with related departments to fulfill Group objectives.
  • Conduct baseline assessments, gap analyses, and evaluations to ensure compliance with government and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess post-implementation system efficiency and effectiveness, resolving any issues identified.
  • Drive service enhancements, process improvements, and escalate system stability concerns.
  • Monitor and measure project performance, taking corrective/preventative actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate testing and system integration tasks across multiple departments.
  • Conduct periodic audits on processes and systems in international branches to guarantee quality and efficiency.
  • Manage change controls rigorously in alignment with established procedures.
  • Provide guidance on post-go-live system verification and benchmarks.
  • Support projects by consulting with Relationship Managers and alert management on variances from approved plans.
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain or exceed customer satisfaction targets.
  • Prepare timely reporting for management, Operations PMO, and international branches.
  • Oversee complex and high-risk tasks with significant impact on international operations.
  • Investigate and report service disruptions, critical issues, and risks to executive management.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, ideally in a reputable international banking environment.
  • Comprehensive operational and system knowledge to manage international branch openings, go-lives, and ongoing support.
  • Expertise in compliance to satisfy regulatory demands across international branches.
  • Strong skills in drafting procedures and guidance documentation for various products and branch levels, including Conventional and Islamic banking.
