Senior Manager - Data Architect, AI & Data Consulting

Overview

Join EY’s dynamic Data Analytics and AI team where your expertise will empower clients to extract actionable value from their data assets. As a Senior Manager Data Architect, you will collaborate across industries to embed innovative analytics solutions that transform data into strategic business assets. This permanent full-time role is based in Ireland at locations including Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway. Please note, work visa sponsorship is not provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead teams with diverse skills using varied Data and Analytics technologies, adapting management style to different client and cultural settings.
• Create a positive learning environment by mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices, trends, and technical expertise.
• Design and implement data artifacts encompassing modeling, integration, storage, and governance aligned with best practices and client needs.
• Utilize data modeling techniques to develop Enterprise Data Models and implement metadata management, data quality, and testing processes.
• Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical and architectural solutions.
• Assess current data architectures, recommend improvements, and oversee remediation plans to optimize data management processes.
• Lead data migration strategy formulation and execution, ensuring data integrity and minimal operational disruption.
• Serve as a trusted client advisor on data architecture, governance, quality, and security.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data architecture to foster innovation and elevate consulting services.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 7 years in data analysis and strategy, proficient at deriving impactful visual narratives from complex data sets.
• Minimum 2 years of consulting experience with a focus on strategic advisement and hands-on implementation, cultivating trusted client relationships.
• Strong skills in data modeling, database design, and SQL across multiple database platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of data integration, ETL, and data warehouse architectures.
• Experience establishing and implementing data governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical abilities to interpret intricate business requirements and design innovative data solutions.
• Outstanding client engagement skills to build and sustain multi-level organizational relationships.
• Proven leadership competencies mentoring consultants and managing project success.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and ability to integrate best practices into data strategy and operations.
• Familiarity with a variety of database technologies including relational, NoSQL, and cloud platforms.
• Professional certifications related to NoSQL databases are advantageous.
