Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to remotely lead the end-to-end design, training, and deployment of machine learning models at production scale. This position entails combining advanced machine learning expertise with solid software engineering skills to manage models from research through scalable inference.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models in production environments.
• Make architectural decisions for training, evaluation, and inference workflows.
• Implement evaluation frameworks and monitor model quality and performance drift.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on building training data pipelines and feature stores.
• Guide and mentor junior ML engineers and help advance the machine learning practice within the company.
• Stay abreast of the latest machine learning research and apply pragmatic methods to production models.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of five years experience as a machine learning engineer with responsibility for production ML systems.
• Proficiency in Python programming and significant experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with training and deploying large-scale models, including deep learning, large language models, or traditional ML algorithms.
• Practical knowledge of cloud ML platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Google Cloud Vertex, Databricks, or similar technologies.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals including testing, code review, and system design principles.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver ML systems that have measurable business impact.
