Senior Level Designer

We're looking for a Senior Level Designer who is passionate about crafting immersive and engaging game worlds that players will enjoy exploring. The ideal candidate is curious, dedicated, and eager to experiment with innovative concepts to create both grand and subtle moments that enrich the narrative and bring it to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with all development teams to design unforgettable player experiences through an iterative process from concept to final execution.
• Create and develop level layouts, coordinating closely with writers and level artists to place, balance, and link missions, story elements, and gameplay mechanics for a cohesive game experience.
• Lead frequent level review sessions to encourage teamwork and continuous level improvement.
• Prepare and update presentations and documentation related to all aspects of level design content.
• Design and implement systemic world events and carefully crafted set-pieces that incorporate emergent AI behaviors to foster a living, dynamic world offering varied experiences throughout the player journey.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is highly advantageous.
• Professional background in the video game industry with a strong design-oriented portfolio.
• Proficiency with 3D world editing tools and visual scripting languages.
• Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills.
• Experience producing content focused on scripted, systemic, and emergent gameplay moments.
• Self-driven, curious, adaptable, and capable of collaborating effectively with diverse development disciplines.
• Passion and knowledge of video games coupled with a desire to push boundaries and create unique, entertaining experiences.
• A demo reel is considered a plus.

Language Requirements

Our company promotes a francophone work environment in Quebec, aiming to minimize non-French language demands. However, proficiency in English is necessary due to regular communication with colleagues and stakeholders outside Quebec where English is the primary language between offices.
