Senior Learning and Development Specialist

Overview

Al Jazeera Media Network in Doha, Qatar, is searching for a Senior Learning and Development Specialist to collaborate with internal business partners in launching, maintaining, and enhancing learning programs that support the organization's strategic goals and foster competency growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize learning needs.
• Perform comprehensive learning needs analyses and translate requirements into effective program designs.
• Create, develop, and execute learning programs consistent with AJMN's strategic objectives.
• Guarantee adherence to quality standards in all learning offerings.
• Design and present innovative, engaging programs incorporating blended learning methodologies.
• Oversee learning projects from analysis and instructional design through to delivery and evaluation.
• Assess and report on the impact and effectiveness of learning activities.
• Support the development of organizational competencies and skill sets.
• Engage with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and external vendors to enrich programs.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in learning and development.
• Drive continuous improvements in learning strategies and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Over five years of professional experience in learning and development, instructional design, or similar areas.
• Proven expertise in conducting learning needs assessment, instructional design, and solution implementation.
• Experience managing comprehensive learning and development initiatives.
• Familiarity with blended learning concepts, digital learning tools, and LMS platforms.
• Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic languages.
