Senior Learning Designer: Mathematics (Primary)

Role Overview

We seek a skilled Senior Learning Designer to spearhead research, commissioning, and the creation of forward-thinking educational materials within our Primary Mathematics portfolio (Years F–6). This role aligns with business objectives and aims to advance sales and market growth.

Key Duties

• Conduct research, commission, and develop educational products and services in print and digital formats focused on Primary Mathematics for early school years.
• Influence strategic planning for the Primary Education Product team, especially within Mathematics, utilizing AI to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Maintain active engagement with the education sector through classroom observations, prototype testing, conferences, and webinars.
• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners to promote key products and services.
• Coordinate efficiently with Product and Data teams to support smooth publishing operations.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory:

• Academic degree or postgraduate qualification in Primary Education or similar professional experience.
• Proven expertise in learning design prioritizing digital solutions that enhance customer needs, teaching, and learning outcomes.
• Background in educational publishing or a related discipline, with experience in digital-first approaches and AI integration.
• Understanding of the Australian education landscape, especially the role of digital technology in improving product design and learning results.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent project management, organizational skills, with the capacity to manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within team settings.
• Advanced skills in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred:

• Additional qualifications in Publishing, Editing, and/or Learning Design.
