Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural teams across multiple projects, allocating activities based on priorities, workload, and skill levels.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to architects and designers, efficiently managing resources and reporting requirements.
• Oversee architectural design development including concept studies, site planning, schematic and detailed design, interior coordination, façade design, and ensuring sustainable, heritage-sensitive, and safety-compliant solutions.
• Ensure accuracy, coordination, and consistency in architectural documentation such as plans, elevations, sections, schedules, specifications, tender documents, and authority submissions.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabia’s building codes, civil defense, accessibility, municipality regulations, and international standards like IBC, NFPA, ICC, ISO, BS/EN, and ASTM.
• Coordinate with Saudi authorities and municipalities to secure timely technical approvals and manage submission packages.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire safety, telecom, security, landscape, interior design, sustainability consultants, BIM managers, and others to integrate architectural design seamlessly.
• Lead BIM implementation within the architectural discipline, overseeing model quality, clash detection, and alignment with design documentation and BIM execution plans.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and compliance checks to ensure architectural deliverables meet project standards and Assystem’s Quality Management System.
• Serve as the architectural representative in client and stakeholder meetings, presenting designs, addressing feedback, and facilitating approvals.
• Support tender and construction phases by responding to queries, reviewing submissions, shop drawings, RFIs, site inspections, and overseeing close-out processes.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize design concepts, costs, functionality, sustainability, and innovation while maintaining technical feasibility.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 12 to 15 years of professional experience in architectural design, including leading design teams on complex and large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise across all design stages from concept through construction support.
• Experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia preferred, with familiarity of local codes and authority requirements.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is required; international accredited architectural registration is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft Visio.
• Experience with BIM collaboration platforms and digital design tools.
• Knowledge of network planning/design and Wi-Fi survey/design software where applicable.
• Familiarity with CCTV design software where relevant.
