Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive Senior Backend Developer skilled in Java, Spring Boot, system design, and DevOps. The position requires experience in product development and the ability to engineer scalable, high-performance backend systems suitable for production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Develop and review detailed low-level design documents to assure clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Enhance application performance by leveraging Redis caching and optimizing NoSQL data structures.
- Apply AI-driven coding tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency while upholding code quality.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams on code evaluations, CI/CD processes, containerization, and deployment activities.
- Resolve complex technical challenges independently, ensuring robust and production-ready systems.
Mandatory Skills
- Core Java proficiencies including Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Garbage Collection, JVM internals, and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot for backend service and REST API development.
- Practical knowledge of Redis for caching and improving application performance.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, focusing on data modeling, access patterns, and performance management.
- Solid understanding of software design principles like SOLID, design patterns, abstraction, and clean-code standards.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools, capable of reviewing and enhancing AI-generated code.
- Familiarity with DevOps and container technologies such as Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Argo CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and container registries.
- Background in building scalable and highly available backend systems in product development settings.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Strong SQL knowledge and database fundamentals.
- Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Skills in production issue troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system observability.
