Job Role and Responsibilities
This role involves close collaboration with the Engineering Manager and the product team to develop applications that integrate seamlessly with existing solutions. The candidate should be a hands-on developer focused on writing production-ready, high-quality code using test-driven development practices. Additionally, they will troubleshoot technical challenges and innovate solutions that enhance the scalability and performance of TransUnion’s products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using Java, Hibernate, and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Design and implement microservices architectures with hands-on coding experience.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like Harness.
- Use code version control and review tools such as Git and Gerrit.
- Collaborate effectively with team members through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate high personal dedication and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Experience and Technical Skills
- Minimum 5 years of Java development experience, including Hibernate and Spring Boot.
- At least 3 years of experience working with Vue.js for frontend development.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a minimum of 5 years preferred.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark and MapReduce, plus Python, GCP BigQuery, and both SQL and NoSQL databases is advantageous.
Additional Details
The candidate should be a team player exhibiting a 'can do' attitude and strong commitment. Experience in continuous integration/deployment pipelines and code review mechanisms is essential. Cloud exposure is a plus.
