About the Role
Accenture's Industry & Enterprise division is focused on embracing technological innovation to drive continuous transformation for clients. This Senior Java Engineer role, based in Dublin or London, involves hands-on development with large-scale payment systems leveraging the ICON IPF Payments framework. The position includes working within cloud-native architectures and collaborating closely with leading banking clients to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support payment systems using Java 11, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Implement solutions within modern cloud platforms, primarily AWS.
- Work extensively with asynchronous messaging systems based on Apache Kafka.
- Collaborate closely with major banking clients and internal teams to design and deliver robust payment solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Essential Requirements
- Proven practical experience with Java 11 and Spring Boot in microservices environments.
- Strong competence in deploying and managing applications in AWS cloud settings.
- Experience working with Apache Kafka for asynchronous messaging workflows.
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO 20022 payment standards, schemes, and types.
- Direct hands-on experience implementing the ICON IPF Payments framework.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with prominent banking clients.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 18 months of professional experience working on the ICON platform.
- Possession of IPF Certification, alongside practical ICON IPF experience.
