Role Overview
As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a critical role in analyzing extensive datasets to convert raw information into actionable enterprise insights. You will engage with cutting-edge cloud-native tools to develop scalable, high-performance applications. Working within a collaborative, product-driven environment, you will help build and maintain enterprise-grade software products.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to translate data into impactful insights.
- Contribute to a dynamic, small team focused on delivering product excellence.
- Design and develop Java applications optimized for high volume and low latency.
- Maintain application performance, quality, and responsiveness at top levels.
- Produce well-architected, testable code following best practices.
- Create and manage RESTful APIs with comprehensive documentation and example-based testing.
- Engage in continual enhancement of full-stack software development methodologies.
- Participate in the creation of data pipelines leveraging Apache Spark or Google Cloud Data Pipeline technologies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in product-oriented companies.
- 5 to 8+ years building cloud-native microservices using Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Security frameworks.
- Development of distributed, scalable Java applications.
- Hands-on experience with distributed event architectures such as Kafka, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, or NoSQL databases.
- Skill in designing REST APIs emphasizing usability and maintainability.
Desirable Skills
- Broad skill set with interest across the full technology stack (T-shaped skills).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker, Istio, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, or related data pipeline ecosystems.
- Knowledge of deployment strategies tailored for Big Data systems.
- Collaboration with DevOps and Test Automation teams to improve developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
