About CrashPlan

Their products protect against ransomware, data breaches, and assist with backups, migrations, and legal holds while ensuring uninterrupted data compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and support scalable, high-performance enterprise software using Java.
- Create and improve backend services, APIs, and microservices-based systems.
- Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams, including remote colleagues.
- Craft clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best coding practices and standards.
- Engage in architecture discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
- Identify and resolve issues impacting application performance and reliability.
- Ensure the solutions maintain security, scalability, and availability criteria.
- Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to less experienced developers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years experience in Java backend development for enterprise-grade applications.
- Proficiency in Java programming, Spring Boot framework, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on expertise using Apache Kafka to build scalable, event-driven real-time data pipelines.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed system architectures.
- Solid understanding of both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases and data modeling.
- Preferred experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong grasp of software design patterns and system architecture principles.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience working in Agile software development teams.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed and remote teams.
Work Environment & Expectations
- Office location in Bangalore's HSR Layout.
- Willingness to work on alternate Saturdays.
- Adaptability to fast-paced startup culture with variable workloads and flexible hours.
