Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to contribute to building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions for a banking client. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer adept at crafting enterprise-grade microservices.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain Java-based microservices and RESTful APIs utilizing Spring Boot framework.
- Apply clean coding practices, solid object-oriented programming concepts, and relevant design patterns to realize business functionality.
- Interact with relational databases using SQL, integrate messaging middleware, and manage distributed system components.
- Create thorough unit and integration test suites and engage actively in peer code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Identify and resolve issues related to application functionality, system performance, and production environments, offering detailed root-cause investigations.
- Collaborate closely with technical architects, frontend developers, quality assurance teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 7 years of extensive hands-on experience in Java software development.
- Proficiency with Java versions 8, 11, and 17+, alongside solid knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, collections framework, and robust exception handling.
- Experience with SQL databases and writing effective unit tests.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and coding capabilities.
- Prior work in banking or financial services sectors is advantageous.
Additional Skills (Desirable)
- Experience with Python programming, generative AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and Google API Development Kit.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position based in Pune District, Maharashtra, India. Candidates will be working on-site with 360 Technology as part of the project with SCADEA Software Solutions, with potential hybrid opportunities involving Chennai or Pune locations.
