Senior Java Developer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer with over 8 years of professional experience to join our team in Chennai. This full-time position requires working on-site from Monday to Friday, following a UK Shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST. The role demands deep expertise in Java technologies including Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, J2EE, and UI frameworks such as JSF combined with PrimeFaces, RichFaces, or IceFaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build applications leveraging Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Implement UI components using JSF and related frameworks like PrimeFaces, RichFaces, or IceFaces.
• Utilize Hibernate, J2EE, SQL, and Tomcat server effectively to develop and support applications.
• Identify, diagnose, and fix application issues and bugs proactively.
• Engage in technical discussions, design sessions, and solution planning.
• Provide development support aligned with business needs and collaborate closely within a small development team.
• Deliver clean, production-ready, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum overall professional experience of 8 years in senior-level Java development roles.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with JSF technology.
• Proficient in Java programming language with strong core skills.
• Extensive experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Solid understanding and application experience of Hibernate ORM.
• In-depth knowledge of Java/J2EE concepts and frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills for database interactions.
• Experience managing applications on Tomcat server environment.
• Practical exposure to UI frameworks: PrimeFaces, RichFaces, or IceFaces.
• Excellent communication and analytical capabilities.
• Willingness to work on-site in Chennai office five days a week.
• Capability to work under the UK shift timings (2 PM to 11 PM IST).
• Comfortable operating within a small, agile development team.

Additional Information

• Employment type: Full-time position based in Chennai.
• Shift: UK shift from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 days per week, strictly from the office.
• The hiring process involves three interview rounds.
• Only candidates residing in South India and with relevant JSF and associated UI framework experience will be considered.
• The final interview for local candidates will take place in person at the Chennai office.
• Compensation: Up to 28 lakh INR per annum, all-inclusive.
