Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking seasoned Java Backend Developers to enhance our engineering team based in Chennai, specifically at Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu. This is a full-time, office-based role requiring attendance five days a week.
Responsibilities and Skills
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend applications using Java and associated technologies. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential to deliver reliable backend services.
Technical Requirements
- Proficient in Java 11 or higher versions
- Expertise with Spring Boot framework
- Experience using RESTful APIs and web services
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database management
- Familiar with JPA/Hibernate for database interactions
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
- Unit testing skills using JUnit and Mockito
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); candidates with Azure experience only are not preferred
