Role Overview
The Senior Interior Designer will manage comprehensive design projects from initial concept through to construction completion, ensuring that design intent and quality are upheld throughout. Regular duties involve crafting spatial layouts, preparing compelling design presentations, managing selections of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and creating detailed drawings and documentation. The position requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors, participation in site meetings, and handling design implementation challenges to resolve technical and aesthetic concerns. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Singapore, involving a combination of office/project site presence and remote working options.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in Interior Design and Space Planning demonstrated through a strong portfolio featuring completed residential or commercial projects.
- Sound knowledge of architectural principles with experience integrating design concepts with building and regulatory codes.
- Experience in FF&E selection covering finishes, fixtures, fittings, and furniture that meet budget, practical use, and design goals.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related areas.
- Advanced proficiency with design and documentation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
- Strong communication skills for client presentations and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Experience in leading design teams or junior staff alongside project coordination and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s local building regulations, construction processes, and material standards.
