Job description
About Us
We are an internationally oriented company dedicated to linking business capabilities, applications, data, platforms, and digital services by leveraging secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions. Our teams across Technology, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Data, Security, Product, and Operations collaborate to create advanced integration environments that facilitate seamless data exchange, automation, interoperability, and digital transformation across varied markets.
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Integration Architect to spearhead enterprise integration architecture, API strategies, event-driven systems, middleware platforms, data integration, and modernization efforts. This role involves providing senior technical leadership for the design of scalable integrations connecting diverse applications, cloud services, platforms, external partners, and digital channels, while ensuring security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and governance.
Core Responsibilities
- Craft and execute comprehensive enterprise integration architecture strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Map out current and future integration architectures encompassing applications, platforms, data, and external systems.
- Establish foundational principles, standards, design patterns, reference architectures, and governance frameworks for integration.
- Design integration solutions that are scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable across various infrastructures.
- Develop detailed enterprise integration roadmaps covering APIs, messaging, events, middleware, data integration, and platforms.
- Interprete business and application requirements into robust integration designs supporting cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-platform deployments.
- Define API strategy including standards, lifecycle management, security practices, and governance policies.
- Lead design of RESTful, event-driven, asynchronous, synchronous, and service-oriented integration models.
- Implement API design standards detailing authentication, authorization, version control, documentation, error management, throttling, monitoring, and lifecycle oversight.
- Oversee API gateways, management platforms, developer portals, and security controls.
- Develop event-driven architectures incorporating messaging queues, event streaming, publish-subscribe paradigms and others.
- Evaluate and assign optimal patterns for real-time, near-real-time, and batch processing integrations.
- Design enterprise integrations connecting ERP, CRM, HR, financial, supply chain, customer platforms, data repositories, and other critical applications.
- Lead architecture efforts for cloud-native apps, microservices, legacy platforms, and third-party integrations.
- Plan and execute strategies for modernizing legacy systems and application transformations.
- Shape service orchestration, workflow, business process automation, and integration interfacing.
- Define standards for message formatting, schema design, contracts, canonical data models, and interface specifications.
- Promote reuse of integration services and shared enterprise capabilities.
- Build data integration architectures spanning operational databases, warehouses, data lakes, APIs, and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with Data Architecture teams to uphold data quality, lineage, ownership, and governance in integration designs.
- Establish secure integration channels with external entities including partners, suppliers, financial institutions, customers, regulators, and service providers.
- Define B2B integration strategies using APIs, file-based transfers, messaging technologies, and more.
- Set standards for managed file transfer, secure file exchanges, and automated data sharing.
- Design integration solutions delivering high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Specify performance criteria including capacity, throughput, latency, and availability along with retry mechanisms, throttling, failover, error handling, and circuit-breakers.
- Outline observability requirements such as logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
- Develop policies for error management, exception handling, reconciliation, and system recovery.
- Define integration security regarding identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, certificates, secrets management, and secure communications.
- Work closely with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, and governance mandates.
- Identify integration risks, vulnerabilities, technical debt, and performance bottlenecks.
- Lead architecture review meetings, workshops, technical assessments, and solution evaluations.
- Review technical integration designs from engineering and delivery groups to provide architecture guidance.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical specifications, interface contracts, sequence and data flow diagrams, and document decisions thoroughly.
- Maintain standards for integration documentation and ensure up-to-date architecture repositories.
- Assess and select integration platforms, middleware, API management tools, event-streaming technologies, and integration-as-a-service options.
- Participate in vendor evaluation processes including RFPs, proof-of-concept trials, and selection.
- Define technical requirements and acceptance criteria for integration platforms and implementation partners.
- Support platform implementation, migrations, modernization, and consolidation projects.
- Develop migration plans for replacing legacy integrations and fragile point-to-point connections with reusable APIs, events, and standardized patterns.
- Promote integration lifecycles covering design, development, deployment, versioning, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and retirement.
- Define comprehensive integration testing strategies including functional, performance, security, resilience, contract, and end-to-end tests.
- Encourage CI/CD adoption and collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and infrastructure management.
