PAA provides investment management and advisory services to institutional and private clients worldwide through an international, collaborative team.

Role Overview

As a Hedge Funds Analyst on the Hedge Funds Investment Team, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and monitoring hedge fund managers within the Asian region. Collaboration with colleagues based in Geneva and leveraging your existing professional network of Asian hedge funds is essential. Additionally, you will contribute to managing hedge fund advisory portfolios for clients in Asia and support marketing and client pitching activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, select, and conduct ongoing monitoring of hedge fund managers across various strategies such as event driven, relative value, long/short equity, and macro, including frequent regional travel.
• Assist in managing hedge fund products and client mandates.
• Prepare communications for internal and external clients, including performance reports and market updates related to the pursued strategies.
• Support the preparation of alternative investment fund reports, such as monthly newsletters and quarterly updates.
• Engage actively with the team on research projects and strategic initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Master's degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification such as CFA.
• Have 5 to 10 years of professional experience within the hedge funds industry, especially in investment research roles.
• Demonstrate prior experience covering hedge fund managers in Asia.
• Portfolio management experience is an advantage.
• Exhibit strong adaptability and collaboration skills to thrive in multicultural and international environments.
• Communicate fluently in both Chinese and English; knowledge of French or German is a plus for interactions with Geneva-based stakeholders.
