Role Overview

We are searching for a visionary and detail-oriented Senior Graphic Designer with a conceptual-first approach, inclined toward Art Direction. This role blends outdoor, streetwear, and action sports culture delivering a platform for growth into art direction. You will lead seasonal campaign executions and translate strategic brand and product initiatives into impactful visuals across digital, retail, social, and print media globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative creative concepts for seasonal launches, marketing campaigns, and brand projects in collaboration with the Head of Marketing Creative.
• Create storyboards, mood boards, and visual guidelines to communicate campaign strategies effectively.
• Maintain deep awareness of youth culture, mountain lifestyle, streetwear, and action sports trends to keep our brand innovative.
• Manage the end-to-end design process for seasonal assets, producing cohesive visual narratives across all channels.
• Lead design efforts for trade and retail marketing materials including workbooks, lookbooks, POS kits, and environmental graphics.
• Produce effective digital and social media assets for web, e-commerce, and email marketing.
• Operate autonomously by managing project workflows, interpreting briefs, and delivering creative solutions.
• Develop scalable visual systems, templates, and uphold brand guidelines for consistency across international markets.
• Lead digital design processes using Figma alongside the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ensure print production quality with pre-press preparation, accurate typography, and correct color management across large-format and digital assets.
• Present design concepts clearly to cross-functional internal teams including Product, E-commerce, Digital, Copy, and Film departments.
• Mentor junior designers and conduct artwork reviews to raise the creative output of the team.

Essential Requirements

• Possess 4 to 6+ years’ experience in graphic design, ideally within agency or in-house environments, with a strong portfolio showcasing readiness for Art Direction roles.
• Experience or passion in fashion, apparel, or board sports, with a personal connection to mountain culture and a thorough understanding of contemporary global design trends and youth subcultures.
• Demonstrated skills in conceptual campaign development, storyboarding, layout design, and advanced typography.
• High proficiency in design software including Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Availability to be based in or relocate to Wānaka, New Zealand.
