Role Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design focusing on seismic performance and compliance with relevant standards.
• Prepare design documentation covering concepts through to detailed stages.
• Carry out on-site investigations and offer support during construction phases.
• Produce technical reports and fee proposals related to projects.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Structural Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Possesses 2 to 6 years of professional experience focusing on residential structural design within New Zealand.
• Demonstrates solid knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and associated design standards.
• Experienced in seismic design and detailing for timber-framed and mixed-material buildings.
• Exhibits organized and practical problem-solving and project management skills.
• Communicates effectively with clients, councils, architects, and contractors.
• Shows adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and strong planning and time management capabilities.
• Enjoys collaborating in a team and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
