About the Position
We are seeking a capable Senior Graduate to Intermediate level Structural Engineer to join our residential team based in Christchurch. This role involves working on diverse residential projects, embracing new technologies, and collaborating with an experienced team to deliver excellent results.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design focusing on seismic performance and compliance with relevant standards.
- Prepare design documentation covering concepts through to detailed stages.
- Carry out on-site investigations and offer support during construction phases.
- Produce technical reports and fee proposals related to projects.

Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Structural Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Possesses 2 to 6 years of professional experience focusing on residential structural design within New Zealand.
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and associated design standards.
- Experienced in seismic design and detailing for timber-framed and mixed-material buildings.
- Exhibits organized and practical problem-solving and project management skills.
- Communicates effectively with clients, councils, architects, and contractors.
- Shows adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and strong planning and time management capabilities.
- Enjoys collaborating in a team and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
