About the Role
Join a passionate, cross-functional team in our Munich-based studio as a Senior Game Designer to contribute to the creation of an exciting AAA survival city-builder RPG. Collaborate closely with programmers and designers to craft and fine-tune gameplay features, systems, and prototypes within the constraints of the game engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with programming teams to create development tools and enhance user interfaces.
- Partner with fellow designers to comprehend and implement design requests.
- Design and balance gameplay mechanics while taking part in prototype development phases.
- Oversee data management and address system limitations affecting engine performance.
- Develop progression frameworks, reward systems, and potentially contribute to NPC and AI behavior design.
- Acquire and apply knowledge of the game engine and its technical constraints.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience designing AAA caliber games.
- Experience working on PC or current-generation console platforms.
- Proficient with Unreal Engine, especially Data Asset handling.
- Fluent in English at a C1 level or higher.
- Must be able to work onsite in Munich, Germany with a valid EU work permit.
