Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the Role

This opportunity is with a trusted partner of Dex, a cutting-edge Series A company that leverages AI to tackle a critical business challenge: predicting customer churn well in advance and automating revenue retention strategies. As the company scales from servicing dozens to hundreds of enterprise customers, you'll join a compact, six-member engineering team managing a modern fullstack environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand essential components of the data platform to support growth from dozens to hundreds of enterprise clients.
• Ensure the system's robustness and reliability, managing technologies including Postgres, Redshift, and Apache Iceberg.
• Take ownership of the infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes alongside application development tasks.
• Embed AI to enhance both product features and engineering workflows, moving beyond mere experimentation.
• Automate processes and improve the platform to minimize manual support efforts.

Candidate Profile

• Brings at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing significant platform components from inception to production.
• Expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI combined with strong proficiency in React on the frontend.
• Experienced with backend databases like Postgres, Apache Iceberg, or Redshift.
• Background deploying and maintaining services on AWS environments using Kubernetes, comfortable with infrastructure ownership.
• Active use of AI tools in the engineering workflow with a passion to build infrastructure that integrates AI thoroughly.
• Adept at solving ambiguous, technically complex challenges and able to explain previous architectural decisions clearly.
