Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Forward Deployed) - GPS

Join Scale AI's expanding Global Public Sector team in Doha, where we leverage artificial intelligence to tackle critical issues faced by governments worldwide. As a Forward Deployed Full Stack Software Engineer, you will engage directly with public sector partners to rapidly design and develop comprehensive AI-powered solutions addressing urgent challenges, ultimately enhancing citizen services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with public sector clients to define and refine problem scopes, actively gather feedback, and deliver solutions, including spending up to two weeks monthly onsite at client offices.
• Design and implement production-ready software applications that seamlessly integrate AI models with full-stack technologies spanning frontend user interfaces and backend APIs.
• Deploy and oversee infrastructure in cloud environments, prioritizing system security, scalability, reliability, and operational integrity.
• Contribute to platform-level features engineered for reuse across diverse international government clients.
• Work cross-functionally with design, product, and data teams to ensure alignment with technical architecture and business goals.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least five years of full-stack engineering experience post-graduation showcasing expertise with React (mandatory), TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Node.js, and databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Hands-on knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with experience managing cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proven capabilities in architecting scalable and maintainable production systems within cloud infrastructures.
• Experience working directly with customer environments to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated end-to-end technologies.
• Strong self-motivation and comfort with ambiguity, capable of delivering dependable software solutions independently.
• Effective asynchronous communication skills designed to minimize communication barriers.

Additional Preferences

• Arabic language proficiency.
• Prior experience as a forward deployed or dedicated customer engineer.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience involving operational teams.
• Background in building applications with large language models and a thorough understanding of generative AI technologies.
