Your Role and Impact

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic, autonomous squad responsible for delivering impactful software products. Your work will involve building engaging gamified learning experiences for millions of users, scaling comprehensive B2B tools for organizations, and enhancing critical core infrastructure such as payments and cloud services.

Work Setup

This is a fully remote position located within the UK or EU, with working hours that strongly align with UK business time zones.

Technical Environment

• Primary technologies include TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
• Operate in a high-velocity engineering culture, managing over 250 pull requests weekly.
• Leverage cutting-edge AI development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to optimize workflow and accelerate delivery.

Team Structure and Ownership

You will be embedded in a small, cross-functional squad consisting of engineers, a product manager, and a designer. Your responsibilities and impact areas may include:

• B2B Squad: Develop enterprise-grade features such as SSO, role-based access controls, licensing systems, syllabus mapping, and executive-level analytics.
• Engagement Squad: Enhance user progression systems, gamification elements, personalized discovery, and experimentation frameworks serving over 9 million learners.
• Platform Squad: Oversee key infrastructure elements including payment integrations, cloud VM delivery mechanisms, support tooling, and platform-wide performance improvements.
• Certification Squad: Build and maintain certifications that validate learning achievements in collaboration with product, marketing, and content teams.

Daily Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end product feature development from ambiguous requirements to production deployment.
• Design scalable, secure APIs and modern frontend interfaces with an emphasis on maintainability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to collaboratively shape solutions rather than only implementing predefined tasks.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentorship.
• Use data-driven experimentation and user feedback to inform product decisions.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated expertise in building SaaS applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and MongoDB or SQL databases.
• Strong product orientation with focus on delivering tangible user impact and business value swiftly.
• Comfort working independently with significant ownership and accountability for features from database design to UI polish.
• Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity, alongside the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code.
• Excellent communication skills enabling clear explanations of technical trade-offs to diverse stakeholders.
• Desirable: passion for cybersecurity, online education, or an active TryHackMe profile.
