Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Contribute actively across the entire technology stack, shifting fluidly between frontend, backend, and infrastructure tasks instead of being confined to one layer.
• Lead and provide technical guidance and make architectural decisions to resolve challenges faced by the team.
• Identify instances of premature over-engineering and implement solutions efficiently without unnecessary complexity.
• Consider the long-term implications of technical decisions and optimize accordingly to balance trade-offs.
• Develop solutions with a focus on business needs, ensuring that code effectively addresses customer problems through pragmatic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

• Possess at least four years of professional software development experience, ideally in small teams where individual accountability is significant.
• Be flexible and not committed to a specific programming language, editor, or library; instead, select tools based on problem suitability.
• Demonstrate versatility by working comfortably across frontend, backend, and infrastructure disciplines rather than specializing narrowly.
• Adopt a practical approach over perfectionism, recognizing when a "good enough" solution is more valuable than an overly refined one.
• Maintain an understanding that engineering choices involve trade-offs aimed at serving customers effectively and be motivated by these decision-making processes.
